Build a 1 3 32 V 5A Power Supply w Short Circuit Protection by LM338

Image
Project Description This is a very easy to build power supply that is based on LM338 5A adjustable voltage regulator. I am using the supply for a long time, have no problem yet. Only current adjust is missing but I overcome this situation by using an LCD panel ampermeter.  There is no PCB for the circuit. I took a 3x16 copper plate and strip the unused areas by a knife. If you want you can use analog meters instead of LCD panels.    Notes Use thick wires for connections. When connecting the LM338 to the heatsink use thermal paste. Use external supplies for LCD panels. They can be 9V batteries. The panels I use draws 1mA current and the batteries last sufficiently long time. If you have small transformers which can supply regulated 9V, you can use them. You need separate transformers for each panel! The transformer should be 100 Watt but if you don't need high current you can try transformers that you already have. (I can draw 6A from 100Watt transformer.)If you have ...

The schematic above is amplifier based on ic TA7211P or TA7212P , circuit above using OT transformer as a booster amplifier again. The amplifier suitable used on outside / field, because by using a transformer OT is identical to the PA amplifier. Part List : R  = 1K , 10R , 3K3 C  = 1uF , 10uF , 1n , 68u, 3u3, 2n2 x 2, 100u  IC = TA 7211P / TA7212P Technical information : Max Vcc = 15 VDC Min Vcc  = 4 VDC Po            = 3,4 W Rl            = 8 Ohm Icco         = 16 mA

Final Nikon Coolpix S800c Runs on Android 2 3 Gingerbread

Image
Normally, when we talk about an Android-powered system, we would venture into the realm of smartphones and tablets, and very rarely (if ever) into the world of digital cameras. The line is about to be blurred this day, as the Nikon Coolpix S800c was just announced to come with a copy of the Android operating system – Android 2.3 Gingerbread, to be exact. Yes sir, how does this digital camera shape up in the face of a mobile operating system running in the background? Well, we shall have to take a closer look at its machinations and inner workings right after the jump, shall we not ? For starters, with Android running on the Nikon Coolpix S800c, you might actually feel that you are using a smartphone at times – until you realize that you are unable to make any phone calls or receive text messages. Good thing it has Wi-Fi connectivity built in though, as it would not be much of an Android device if there were not Internet connectivity to make it interactive. Setting up the camera for Int...

Regulated Dual 3 Watt White LED Lamp

Image
This project involves constructing an energy efficient dual 3 Watt white LED array that runs on 12VDC at 700mA. The lamp is useful for indoor indirect room lighting. The light that is produced does not flicker and has a regulated brightness from 11V to the maximum operating voltage. The Avago 3W white LEDs are rated at 3 watts (nominal). Never stare directly at this lamp when it is running at full operating power, it is dangerously bright. Specifications: Nominal operating voltage: 12V DC Nominal operating current: 700 mA Maximum operating voltage: 16V DC Power consumption at 12.0V: 8.4W Minimum voltage for regulated light: 11V DC Leds produce light down to: 6V DC White LED voltage: 3.7V DC each White LED input power: 2.59 W each Voltage across regulator when current becomes regulated: 3.3V DC Theory: The lamp is wired as a current loop which includes the power supply, the LED series string and the 700 mA current regulator circuit. The LM317 and 1.8 ohm 5 Watt resistor act as a current...

Super Boost 3 6A USB Charger Based on LM2700

Image
This design is inspired by the Minty Boost but it fixes some of the issues that I had with it. The Minty Boost is limited to 600mA due to the LT1302 chip. The Super Boost uses the LM2700 which can push up to 3.6A. This will enable i-devices to draw up to there maximum of 1A which will enable a faster recharge. [ ]

3 to 12 Volts Converter using LM2700

Image
This Power Supply Electronic Circuit Project a very simple and high efficiency step-up dc dc converter circuit that require few external components can be designed using the LM2700 step-up DC/DC converter with a 3.6A, 80mohms internal switch and pin selectable operating frequency. 3-to-12-Volts Converter Circuit Diagram: With the ability to produce 500mA at 8V from a single Lithium Ion battery, the LM2700 is an ideal part for biasing LCD displays. The LM2700 can be operated at switching frequencies of 600kHz and 1.25MHz allowing for easy filtering and low noise. An external compensation pin gives the user flexibility in setting frequency compensation, which makes possible the use of small, low ESR ceramic capacitors at the output. This circuit can be used for handheld devices and some other portable applications . This step-up DC DC converter will provide a 12 volts DC output voltage from an input voltage range between 2.5 to 4.2volts .

3 in 1 Flash Light

Image
Want to avoid the problem of carrying three different flashlights to perform a test? Why don’t you try integrating Ultra Violet, Infra Red and visible light together in one flashlight? Read on to know more about this. The multi-tasking flashlight is basically composed of a metallic case, a switch, cables and connections, four 9V batteries and three different LED heads that provide the desired light beam. For the construction of this flashlight, LedEngin’s LZ4-40 is recommended. This comes with a very wide wavelength that includes infra red and ultra violet light. Distinct visible light color temperature can also be found The first step is to build the body of the flashlight, using an aluminum tube. Next come the drilling and cutting for switches and covers. Once the body is finished, the work on the constant current driver should be completed, adding the proper terminals for the batteries and the base for the LED heads.  Once all the power source wiring is completed and insulated w...

Simple 3 Transistor Amplifier

Image
Mini 3 transistor amplifier is a simple amplifier with 50mW power drawn by 3 transitor. The series of three mini-amplifier transistors can be used for loud speaker 8 ohm load. Source voltage required to activate the mini-amplifier can be drawn from the batteries 9V.Rangkaian 3 transistor amplifier is often used in simple portabe audio devices such as radios or small tape recorder. Mini-transistor amplifier circuit 3 is quite simple as shown in the figure below. Mini-transistor amplifier circuit 3 includes type of amplifier OTL (Output Transformer Less). Mini-transistor amplifier circuit 3 is used for output coupling capacitors. Amplifier circuit is simple and suitable when used for audio amplifier experiment.

3 A Wide input Adjustable Switching Regulator Project

Image
This is the simple project os 3-A Wide-input Adjustable Switching Regulator circuit diagram. The PTN78060 is a series of high-efficiency, buck-boost, integrated switching regulators (ISR) from good old Texas Instruments (TI). The caseless, double-sided package has excellent thermal characteristics, and is RoHs compliant. The PTN78060 devices operate from a remarkably wide input voltage range: Note that the –A version supplies a negative output voltage. The devices provide high-efficiency stepdown voltage conversion for loads of up to 3 A. The PTN78060 devices are suited to a wide variety of general-purpose applications that operate off 12-V, 24-V, or tightly regulated 28-V dc power, hence are ideal for running low-voltage electronics from a very high power 24-V battery unit salvaged from an electric wheel chair and migrated into a robot.  The output voltage VO can be set to any value over a wide adjustment range using a single external resistor RSET, using the equation RSET = 54....
