In the above image you can see two silica gel breather are shown. Here pink color indicates it contains moisture and need to be replaced, where as blue color indicates that it is not affected by moisture and ready to absorb moisture. This silica gel breather is used in power transformer of rating 63 MVA, 132/11kv transformer. It is connected to the mail tank. The above figure also shows a silica gel breather, but it is connected to the on load tap changer. In the above figure you can see oil is used in silica gel breather to collect the dust particle as well as to oppose moisture to be entered to the transformer main tank. This is a another model or type pf silica gel breather. It si also used in in power transformer of rating 40 MVA, 132/11kv transformer
