Solar Panel Based Charger And Small LED Lamp

Image
You can save on your electricity bills by switching to alternative sources of power. The photovoltaic module or solar panel described here is capable of delivering a power of 5 watts. At full sunlight, the solar panel outputs 16.5V. It can deliver a current of 300-350 mA. Using it you can charge three types of batteries: lead acid, Ni-Cd and Li-ion. The lead-acid batteries are commonly used in emergency lamps and UPS. The working of the circuit is simple. The output of the solar panel is fed via diode 1N5402 (D1), which acts as a polarity guard and protects the solar panel. An ammeter is connected in series between diode D1 and fuse to measure the current flowing during charging of the batteries. As shown in Fig. 1, we have used an analogue multimeter in 500mA range. Diode D2 is used for protection against reverse polarity in case of wrong connection of the lead-acid battery. Make Relay Based Motorcycle Alarm Circuit Diagrams

Image
You can Make Relay Based Motorcycle Alarm Circuit Diagrams . You can use them to protect your motorcycle - but they have many more applications. If you use relays with 6-volt coils - they'll protect your "Classic Bike". Both alarms are very small. The completed boards occupy about half a cubic-inch - 8 cc. The standby current is zero - so they won't drain your battery. Relay Based Motorcycle Alarm Circuit Diagram 1 uses a SPCO/SPDT relay - but you really only need to use a SPST relay. If you are going to use the veroboard layout provided - you'll need to use the style of relay specified. But you can build the alarm using whatever style of relay you have available. Relay Based Motorcycle Alarm Circuit Diagram 1 Any number of normally-open switches may be used. Fit the mercury switches so that they close when the steering is moved or when the bike is lifted off its side-stand or pushed forward off its centre-stand. Use micro-switches to protect removable panels an...

RFID Based Smart Shopping Trolley

RFID (radio frequency identification) technology offers the ability to provide many new services and conveniences in the retail environment. Considering a shopping market, people want to wait for a long time for their turn while the staff of that shop completes checking whole products in each trolley one by one and make a bill for that and also the payment. To change this method we are introducing a new device, ”RFID based Shopping Trolley”. In this device there is a RFID module,a LCD display and a ZIGBEE module. There will be a unique code for a product and each product contains RFID chips on it. While placing the product to the shopping trolley, the RFID tag on the trolley identifies the product and its rate is noted. After shopping the total bill of products in the shopping trolley is send to the Billing section through ZIGBEE. There is no need to waste time for checking again the products in the trolley one by one. Bill is printed from the Billing section.     ...

Arduino Based Capacitive Touch Screen

Image
Arduino based projects are quite complicated and is no cake walk for beginners in this field. Interfacing a tablet with the microcontroller is a daunting task. Let see how its done here. The primary focus should be on using the appropriate drivers for the tablet. This makes it a USB host. As seen in the video, light can be a medium of communication between the tablet and the microcontroller. A photo diode or photoresistor is what is needed here and this should be pressed against the screen. Building a touch sensing capability can help in providing communication between the microcontroller and the tablet. Capacitive touch screens function by sensing the capacitance changes on the screen. In this case, a large conductive brass plate is used to simulate touch. The surface area of the conductor used here to simulate the touch sould be large. Testing can be done by touching the scrren with a wire and holding the other end. This may not work. This is made to work by sticking a piece of alumi...

Super Boost 3 6A USB Charger Based on LM2700

Image
This design is inspired by the Minty Boost but it fixes some of the issues that I had with it. The Minty Boost is limited to 600mA due to the LT1302 chip. The Super Boost uses the LM2700 which can push up to 3.6A. This will enable i-devices to draw up to there maximum of 1A which will enable a faster recharge. [ ]
