Final Nikon Coolpix S800c Runs on Android 2 3 Gingerbread

Image
Normally, when we talk about an Android-powered system, we would venture into the realm of smartphones and tablets, and very rarely (if ever) into the world of digital cameras. The line is about to be blurred this day, as the Nikon Coolpix S800c was just announced to come with a copy of the Android operating system – Android 2.3 Gingerbread, to be exact. Yes sir, how does this digital camera shape up in the face of a mobile operating system running in the background? Samsung Galaxy Note II Unveiled 5 5 inch HD Super AMOLED Display Android

Image
Well, hopefully, you aren’t tired of hearing about the Galaxy Note II yet; Samsung has finally made their announcement and released the official details. The leak earlier this morning pretty much had it nailed, but let’s go through the list now that it’s official. Naturally, the screen is the highlight here. It’s an enormous 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display at 1280×720. The other signature feature is the S pen. The handwriting experience in general and that has been upgraded, as well. The pen itself is a bit larger, making it easier to handle, and the digitizer in the Note II supports 1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity–4x that of the original. Powering the Note II is a 1.6 GHz quad-core Exynos processor with 2 GB of RAM. I can’t imagine that won’t be sufficient to keep things humming along. The battery ...

Online mega-retailer Amazon may be planning to release an Android -based gaming console by the end of the year, if rumors prove correct. Citing "those ... who have knowledge of the in-development hardware," Game Informer claims Bezos & Co. may be readying the device to ship by "Black Friday" – the day after the US Thanksgiving holiday, traditionally the start of the holiday shopping season, which this year falls on November 29. Details of the plan are virtually nonexistent, but this isn't the first time El Reg has heard murmurs that Amazon may be planning to broaden its hardware line beyond its Kindle e-readers and tablets. In May, The Wall Street Journal reported that Amazon was operating a secretive facility in Apple's hometown of Cupertino, California, known only as "Lab 126," where it was working on at least four hush-hush hardware projects. Two of those were said to be Amazon -branded smartphones, a perennial topic of discussion among r...
